Sharon is Suzuki certified and is a member of both the Suzuki Association of the Americas and the American Harp Association. Her philosophy of teaching harp and music theory is based on the desire to pass on her professional experience and passion for music to the next generation. By tailoring lessons to the individual needs of each student, she allows everyone to develop to their fullest potential. Choosing appropriate music for each student helps to motivate him or her to develop strong and enduring practice habits, leading to the creation of a lifelong love of music.

LESSON OPTIONS

In addition to offering harp instruction in her private studio, Sharon also teaches with the use of SKYPE, a free internet communication option using a microphone and webcam. Using SKYPE, a student and teacher view a lesson through a high-speed internet connection and interact through an effective means.

Sharon also assists students with college audition preparations. Many of her past students have gone on to receive full or partial tuition scholarships.
